Unbelievable Feat: Discover What Was Moved Thousands of Miles to Saudi Arabia!

In an astonishing display of ambition and logistics, India’s Express Global Logistics (EXG) has completed a monumental task crucial to the future of green energy in Saudi Arabia. A major green hydrogen initiative required the transportation of enormous modular structures, each weighing as much as 250 tonnes and measuring a staggering 50 meters in length. These oversized modules, totaling 14, formed a combined weight nearing 1,500 freight tonnes.

EXG, known for its cutting-edge technology, utilized its advanced Megaload fleet to tackle this formidable challenge. The fleet included state-of-the-art Scheuerle self-propelled modular transporters featuring 48 axle lines and two power pack units, specifically designed for handling significant weights with precision.

The operation unfolded with meticulous attention to detail. Eight of these vast structures were loaded onto ships using the roll-on roll-off (RoRo) technique, a preferred method for transporting such heavy cargo over long distances. The remaining modules were carefully moved by specialized transporter units to the jetty, where powerful crawler cranes skillfully hoisted them into place.

Ensuring a smooth journey by sea was paramount, requiring expert vessel balance to maintain equilibrium during transit. In its quest to enhance logistical capabilities, EXG cemented a strategic alliance with Italian firm Fagioli in early 2023. This partnership, dubbed the Megaload venture, expanded their expertise in the petrochemical and construction sectors, reinforcing EXG’s prowess in managing unparalleled logistical feats.

This remarkable success story underscores EXG’s role as a leader in solving complex logistical puzzles, pivotal to global advancements in sustainable energy.
